Laboratory of Archaeological Science
The Laboratory of Archaeological Science (LAS) is a not-for-profit research center within California State University, Bakersfield designed to offer protein residue analysis on archaeological specimens using the molecular technique of cross-over immuno-electrophoresis (CIEP).
LAS Research
Utilizing the antigen-antibody immune reaction perfected in forensic medicine, CIEP optimizes the data potential of archaeological assemblages by identifying faunal and botanical residues preserved on artifacts.
