   Kay Ryan Reading

The Kay Ryan Reading, which took place in the Albertson Room of the Doré Theatre on January 11th, 2006, was a great success. A standing room only audience greatly appreciated Ryan's witty and down-to-earth presentation of her work. The poet entertained students with stories of her childhood in the San Joaquin Valley as a preface to reading a number of poems about her experiences in the region. She then moved on to other poems, introducing each one with helpful explanations and funny anecdotes. Below are some pictures from the event.
