Model United Nations

There are many Model United Nations conferences in the U.S.  Over the years CSUB students have participated in MUNs from San Diego to New York City.  In recent years the CSUB students organizing our delegation have usually competed in the U.C. Santa Barbara MUN.  To prepare themselves, they enroll in a Winter/Spring Quarter class (Spring Semester beginning in 2017).  In other words, MUN is both academic and extracurricular.  Because MUN requires a combination of funding from Instructionally Related Activities (IRA) budget, contributions from supporters, and the students' own resources, planning begins in the Spring for the following year.  Dr. Dirk Horn is the faculty instructor and advisor.
