Criteria for Membership

Membership is through invitation only to those who place within the top 3% of our student body.

Invitations are emailed through the Alpha Chi Honor website after final grades are posted at the end of fall and winter terms.

In order to qualify for inclusion in Alpha Chi students must:

  • Have a minimum of 24 earned quarter units taken at CSUB, and
  • Be a junior with a minimum CSUB GPA of 3.8, or
  • Be a senior with a minimum CSUB GPA of 3.7, or
  • Be a graduate student with a minimum CSUB GPA of 3.8

There is a $80 initiation fee that will be used to pay for lifetime membership in the society.
