Who is Affected?
Q: What is a Transition Student?
A: A student who is currently enrolled, returning, or a new first-time student who will not be graduating by Fall 2016 is a “Transition Student”. Your status will be determined after meeting with your assigned academic advisor. You and your advisor will use the Degree Progress Report to review your academic progress toward completing the requirements for your major, the number of units earned, and the courses needed to complete your degree. A Individualized Academic Plan (IAP) will be created for you.
You will receive information in your Student Center outlining the steps you must take before the Quarter to Semester transition to ensure a timely graduation.
Q: What is a Completer Student?
A: If you are a currently enrolled, returning, or transfer student with the potential to graduate before Fall 2016, you are considered a “Completer Student”. Your status will be determined after meeting with your assigned academic advisor. You and your advisor will use the Degree Progress Report to review your academic progress toward completing the requirements for your major, the number of units earned, and the courses needed to graduate before Fall 2016.
If you have met with an advisor and are scheduled to graduate before the start of Fall 2016, file an application for graduation with Admissions and Records.
