If you are interested in being involved in campus life and want to be involved in your student government, networking, gain leadership experience and become a voice for students campus wide, then become an ASI student leader.
Thank you for expressing interest in running for a position on the ASI Board of Directors. The ASI Elections for 2024-2025 academic year will be held March 21-22, 2024.

The following positions are available: Executive Board Currently Filled Board of Directors Director of Arts and Humanities Director of Social Sciences and Education Director of Graduate Students Director of Transfer Students Director of Athletics Engagement Director of Student Support Director of Special Populations Please note: To run for an executive office position, they must attend 2 Board of
Directors meetings and 2 ASI committee meetings, or submitted no less than two professional
letters of recommendation in addition to attending the Executive Officer Election
seminar. Students are eligible to run for office if they meet the following CSU system-wide
requirements; Grades All student representatives must be matriculated at the University, maintaining an
on-campus 2.5 grade point average (GPA) each term, and not be on probation of any
kind. Unit Load Undergraduate students must earn 12 semester of credit per term while running for
office or holding office. Graduate and credential students must earn 6 semester of
credit per term while running for office or holding office. Undergraduate students
are allowed to earn a maximum of 150 semester or 125% of the units required for a
specific baccalaureate degree, whichever is greater. Graduate and credential students
are allowed to earn a maximum of 50 semester or 167% of the units required for the
graduate or current object, whichever is greater. Residency Undergraduate candidates must have been enrolled on the campus and have completed
1 semester prior to the election, earning a total of 12 semester units during that
year. Graduate and credential candidates must earn 6 semester units per term of continuous
attendance as a new graduate or credential student to be eligible. If they earned
a bachelor's degree or credential in the past 3 years from the same campus, they must
have earned a total of 12 semester units during their last year as an undergraduate. For more information about Eligibility Requirements, please see the ASI Elections
Code. The first step in running for ASI office is reading the ASI Elections Packet and the ASI Elections Code. These explain the entire process and descriptions of each position. The next step
is filing for elections, all required forms are found on this webpage. Filing period begins February 5th and the deadline is March 8, 2024 at 11am. Each student will be notified and receive an email to their CSUB email with a link
to a SurveyMonkey poll to vote from Mike Kwon (mkwon@csub.edu). Elections will be held completely online. Elections begin Wednesday, March 20th at 8am to Thursday, March 21st to 11:59 PM.
