About Us
The CSUB Food Pantry is open to CSUB students, staff, and faculty. We are located just north of the Student Union, before reaching Parking Lot M. Visit the CSUB campus map for directions.
The Food Pantry goals are to increase food security, reduce food waste, and expand nutritional offerings at CSU Bakersfield.

Point System
Each visitor is allotted one visit per week and up to 16 points per visit.
- 1 point - Side dish of non-food item
- Granola bar
- Canned fruit
- Full-size toiletry item
- Up to four (4) 1-point items
- 2 points - One meal
- Canned soup
- Top Ramen
- Chili
- Up to three (3) 2-point items
- 3 points - Items lasting multiple meals
- Box of pasta
- Dry beans
- Boxed cereal
- Up to two (2) 3-point items
How Does it Work?
Donations
Thank you for considering donating to the CSUB Food Pantry! Your gift makes a meaningful impact to our campus community!
The CSUB Food Pantry accepts:
- non-perishable food items
- packaged, unexpired foods
- clean, fresh produce
- clean or new sturdy bags for grocery shopping
- monetary gifts in the form of:
- a check made payable to CSUB Foundation, with CSUB Food Pantry in the memo line; checks should be addressed to:

Step 1: Visit give.csub.edu
Step 2: Select General Giving
Step 3: Choose to donate to Other from the drop-down menu
Step 4: Type Food Pantry into the field
Step 5: Enter Credit Card information and select Donate

Food donations may be dropped off during the regular Food Pantry hours of operation or at Student Union front desk Monday through Friday from 8am - 5pm.
