Fall 2024 Incoming: Transfer Student Advising & First-Time, First-Year Student Advising
The School of Business and Public Administration will begin advising newly admitted transfer students AND first-time, first-year students on June 03, 2024. You may use Runner Connect to schedule an advising appointment or call 661-654-2326. If you are having difficulty logging into Runner Connect, contact CSUB IT (661-654-4357). All transcripts must be evaluated by the Admissions and Records Office (661-654-3036), before appointments can be made. Please allow 24 hours after transcripts are evaluated to schedule your appointment.
To prepare for your first advising appointment:
- Know your CSUB ID number.
- Check your MyCSUB and release any other non-advising hold, such as the Student Financial Agreement.
- Write down all your questions before your appointment.
- Be prepared to take notes.
- Submit the Intent to Enroll and initial transcripts.
- If you are a student athlete, please have your fall practice and travel schedule ready.
- If you are in the Hawk Honors Program, please have your Fall honor’s courses prepared.
- Review your Transfer Credit Report for accuracy.
- Sign into your myCSUB.edu portal go to the Academic Requirements page review your Transfer Credit Report.
- All transfer credit should appear, before scheduling your advising appointment.
- Be ready to inform your advisor of all college credit earned through college coursework, military credit, AP, IB or CLEP exams.
- Re-submit your final transcript, after current grades are posted.
