If you really experience what you will be doing in dental school, enroll into these classes which are very helpful for your manual dexterity. - Summer Medical and Dental Education Program (SMDEP)
Summer Medical and Dental Education Program (SMDEP) is a FREE (full tuition, housing, and meals) six-week summer academic enrichment program that offers freshman and sophomore college students intensive and personalized medical and dental school preparation. - UCLA PREP
A seven-week program designed to provide premedical and predental students from disadvantaged backgrounds with a means of strengthening their ability and readiness to study medicine or dentistry. As a result of full participation in UCLA PREP, participants should have enhanced their chances of being accepted to medical or dental school and succeeding once there. - Dentistry Today
A program designed for college students in their first, second, or third year who are considering dentistry as a career. The program allows participants to learn about the dental profession, dental education, dental specialties and the wide range of career options available within dentistry. Topics include esthetic dentistry, geriatric dentistry, periodontics, implantology, orthodontics, forensic dentistry, gross anatomy and research. - Summer Pre-Dental Enrichment Program for College Students
This program is designed to increase students' competitiveness for admissions to dental school, strengthen their academic science background and prepare them to successfully take the DAT. - Gateway to Dentistry
The Gateway to Dentistry program is designed to introduce under graduate students to the wide range of career options associated with the Dental Profession. UMDNJ - New Jersey Dental School offers all prospective applicants challenging and informative hands on dental experience. This is an intensive internship based at the New Jersey Dental School in Newark, New Jersey. - Medical Education Development Program
The MED Program provides a demanding academic core on the level of beginning medical/dental studies in Gross Anatomy, Histology, Physiology, Microbiology/Immunology and Clinical Biochemistry. It also may include a special dental theory and technique course for pre-dental students as well as individualized work in learning, study, reading and test-taking skills. Seminars, workshops, pre-professional counseling and orientation to the medical and dental school environment will also be provided.
