Dual Enrollment Program
CSU Bakersfield has partnered with three high school districts—Kern High School District, Delano Joint Union High School District, and Chaffey Joint Union High School District—to offer qualified high school students the opportunity to earn college-credit for courses taken at their own high school site. Students are limited to a total of 6 units of earned coursework per semester. High school freshman and sophomores are not eligible for the program. Grades earned through the Dual Enrollment program are included in the student's academic record. Credits earned may be applied to degree programs at CSUB or may be transferred to other universities.
Enrollment Process
Students interested in the Dual Enrollment program should contact their respective high school to inquire about the availability of courses. The high school guidance counselor or director will provide the student with an application and will submit the completed application to the high school district office. Once all documentation is on file at the high school, the course teacher will provide the students with a special code to complete an online CSUB Dual Enrollment application.
