Sending Test Scores
Students who have completed College Board Advanced Placement (AP) examinations with a score of 3 or higher and submit an official College Grade Report directly from the College Board will receive college credit for each examination. Credit is awarded based on when the exam was taken. Please note: Taking an "AP" class in high school alone does not necessarily earn college credit. Advanced Placement results are only accepted directly from AP - College Board. Please visit their web site for information regarding how to request your scores. Once scores are received, credit will be granted automatically for students that have been admitted and the results can be seen on your myCSUB portal.
Prior to a student's enrollment at CSUB, credits may be earned through the College Level Examination Program (CLEP), by earning satisfactory score. Earned CLEP credit will be treated as transfer credit without a grade, will count toward graduation, and may be used in fulfilling specific curriculum requirements.
CLEP results are only accepted directly from CLEP - College Board. Please visit their website for information regarding how to request your scores.
Please note: CSUB will not accept the units or score posted on your college or university transcripts.
Military Credit
Units of credit are granted for honorable completion of basic training of United States military training as evidenced by a copy of the separation paper (DD214) on file in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. Additional credit for military courses may be granted upon evaluation of course content and as recommended in the American Council on Education Guide. Military transcripts can be sent using Joint Services Transcript.
Verifying Test Scores and Transcripts
To verify if CSUB has received your official transcripts and/or test scores, please review your "To Do List" in your myCSUB portal. If the transcripts read "Received", the Office of Undergraduate Admissions has received them. If the item still reads "Initiated", that means we have not received the official transcripts and/or test scores and you are still required to submit the official document by the posted deadline.
