Description: This Friday, April 8, from noon to 1 p.m. via Zoom, we'll have Manusamoa
Henry Sataraka as a featured guest speaker on Samoan Tatau and Culture (Polynesian
Tattoos and Culture). Manusamoa is the Director of LOA, whose mission is to perpetuate
Pasefika language, culture, and arts. He is also the Director of the Miss Samoa Hawai'i
Pageant and Host of âTo'ona'I," a new Pasefika talk show that highlights the diverse
stories told by Pasefika people. He is a musician, designer, instructor, language
and cultural teacher, and all-around fierce advocate for the Pasefika community. Born
and raised in Hawai'i as a Samoan, Manusamoa's love of culture stems from his parents,
who are from Aunuu and Taputimu, American Samoa, with ties to Faleaii, Sapunaoa, and
other villages in Samoa. He graduated from Chaminade University with a B.S.
