Automated Evaluation
Automated Verification Process
California State University, Bakersfield has purchased a system wide license for Level Access. This software tests pages against the checkpoints of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 AA, but not all can be verified through automated means. This software is useful in detecting many of the common errors.
Organizing your web host
Administrators should first group sites by webmasters. Some webmasters may be responsible for only one site, while others may have multiple. Level Access can test each group separately and generate useful reports for each webmaster so that only the content they are responsible for is reported on. Once an administrator has a list of appropriately organized url's that need to be tested the next step is scheduling.
Testing Schedule
Once the information regarding a website has been delivered to ITS a web crawl test of the sites will occur on a regular basis. These tests are similar to a crawl a search engine might perform. If there are issues with the timing of the testing process please contact ITS so that we may work out an alternate schedule.
