The Division of Equity, Inclusion, and Compliance in partnership with the Cesar Chavez Foundation is launching the CSUB-Chavez Student Leaders Program. The CSUB-Chavez Student Leaders Program is inspired by the work of Cesar Chavez, a civil rights, Latino and farm labor leader, dedicated to equality, justice, and dignity for all Americans and is designed to empower and cultivate the next generation of student leaders.
The program is set in the pillars of Chavez’s leadership: Unity, Service, and “Si Se Puede.”
The program will include a dynamic curriculum to foster leadership skills, cultural awareness, and civic engagement. Students will also participate as a student leader in the Inaugural CSUB Chavez-Huerta Conference on October 3 and 4, 2024.
