On May 20, 2005 California State University, Bakersfield
will celebrate the inauguration of its fourth President and
its 35th year of instruction. The inauguration of Horace Mitchell,
Ph.D. signals the opening of a new chapter in CSUB’s history
and we are inviting all alumni to be a part of the celebration.
The March of Alumni will be a special part of
the processional in the ceremony beginning at 3:00
P.M. on Friday, May 20. The ceremony will conclude at 4:30 P.M.
and will be followed with a celebratory reception. Alumni will
march grouped in the decade of their graduation – similar
to commencement but this time without cap and gown. Those marching
will have a reserved seat for the ceremony, a special alumni
gift, and fun!
