Need help with an essay assignment? Confused about grammar rules? Or just want to polish your writing skills?
The CSUB Writing Resource Center (WRC) is here to help. We offer FREE tutoring, workshops, and other support services to currently enrolled CSUB students. We currently offer tutoring in writing, literature, linguistics, and MLA/APA citation.
At the WRC, our tutors are trained to focus on improving students' overall skills, not just their grades. Rather than just providing the answer, we assist students at all stages of assignments to help them learn to think critically about their own writing in any discipline.

More About Nicklas C.Nicklas Chiang is an undergraduate student, currently majoring in Computer Science. He has prior experience working as a tutor at the Bakersfield College Tutoring Center for two and a half years. As his mother is Amber Chiang, one of the WRC leadership staff and writing professor, he is fortunate to have experience with writing from a young age. He loves to learn foreign languages in his free time and is currently studying Japanese. Nicklas’ favorite Anime is Steins;Gate and his favorite video game is FINAL FANTASY XIV ONLINE. His knowledge of Japanese Anime is quite vast, so he apologizes for the excessive amount of Anime accessories and clothing he owns. Feel free to give him recommendations for new Japanese-pop to listen to as his playlist is starting to get repetitive. He is passionate about competitive video gaming and playing volleyball. Nicklas plans to use his education to work in game design, and further his education with a master’s degree in Computer Science.
