Wellness Coaching
Wellness Coaching is available through the Department of Campus Recreation and Wellbeing. This resource allows students to meet with a wellness coach for one initial session and four follow up sessions to discuss goals related to many of the dimensions of wellness.

Wellness Coaches:
- Focus on present moment lifestyle habits, future goals, and achievement of higher levels of overall wellbeing.
- Coaches and student work together to identify small steps to achieve goals, while adjusting along the way.
- Can include psychotherapy, diagnosis, evaluation; administration and interpretation of assessments.
- Consists of sessions with a licensed clinician to help address ongoing psychological symptoms, or patterns of thought, behavior, or emotion that no longer serve a person.
- Therapy allows clients to dive deeper into past or present issues to make positive changes in their lives.

Mentioning mental health concerns is not off limits, but if outside the scope of coaching,
wellness coaches are equipped to refer students to other campus partners when necessary.
On a case-by-case basis, referrals to the Counseling Center, Dean of Students, CARE team, Basic Needs, or others may be suggested. Wellness Coaches are mandated to report any reveal of
personal harm to the self or others.
