Council for Faculty Advising
Faculty advisors play a critical role in the CSUB student experience. They help guide students through the major, minor, and course selection process; provide valuable mentoring and research opportunities; provide referrals to relevant student support services; and help students achieve their career goals.
The Council for Faculty Advising provides a forum for faculty members across the campus to ensure consistent communication among faculty and staff advisors, prioritize actions for advising initiatives across campus, and to identify the professional development needs for faculty in their roles as academic advisors. The group meetings approximately 3 times per semester.
