A student who has prior experience that contributes to learning relevant to CSUB's curriculum may petition for academic credit. The amount of credit is determined only after self and faculty assessment. The amount of credit may not exceed 12 units. Students interested in this possibility should consult with the appropriate department chair. Evaluation of experiential learning may take varied forms dependent upon the academic program, type of experience, and how units are being used. Credit for Prior Learning is awarded on a credit/no credit basis only.
