Greg Colson is an accomplished artist with public collections all over the world including
The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York; The Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles;
The Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden, Washington, D.C.; The Panza Collection,
Varese, Italy; The Moderna Museet, Stockholm; Sammlung Rosenkranz, Berlin and more.
As a Bakersfield native and graduate of CSUB, Mr. Colson gives great credibility to
our arts department, university and the community by the international fame and exposure
of his art work.
Shanna Treanor, M.D., Class of 1994
Dr. Treanor is a pediatrician specializing in Pediatric Dermatology at Kaiser Permanente
in Bakersfield, California. Dr. Treanor has won numerous awards and recognitions and
served on the 2014-15 Kern County Special Olympics-Host Town Committee for the 2015
Special Olympics World Games. While a senior at CSUB, Dr. Treanor served as President
of Associate Students, Inc. and was instrumental to the designing and completion of
the CSUB Student Union.
Mike Maggard, Class of 1978
Kern County Supervisor 3rd District, Mike Maggard is a Certified Public Accountant
and founder and owner of Maggard and Company, CPA’s in Bakersfield, California. Maggard
has received multiple recognitions for his civic and community involvement, and was
inducted into the Bakersfield City School District’s Hall of Fame in 2012. Supervisor
Maggard served as a Bakersfield City Councilman from 1998-2006 and currently serves
Kern County’s 3rd District as a Supervisor. Supervisor Maggard understands the pivotal
role that higher education plays in self-fulfillment and improving one's quality of
life and economic success.
Tom Hardt, Class of 1973
Tom Hardt has made a huge impact in the community by providing the funding and resources
to make Hardt Field a reality on the CSUB campus. His dedication to the campus, students
and the athletic department are abundant. Mr. Hardt founded the Hardt Family Foundation
which funds local, social, religious, art and education organizations throughout Kern
County. Through generous contributions to CSUB and numerous other associations, the
Hardt family has served their community for more than 60 years.
