Policies
The Dean of Students Office administers and maintains the Student Conduct Code, California Code of Regulations, Title 5, Section 41301, and abides by all University and systemwide policies for the California State University system. The following documents relate to student disciplinary matters, policies unique to CSUB, and other systemwide policies pertaining to students.
Systemwide Policies Pertaining to Students
CSUB Undergraduate Academic Integrity Policy | University policies and procedures regarding academic integrity violations by students in undergraduate programs. |

Student Conduct Code (Title 5, California Code of Regulations) |
Stipulates the grounds upon which student discipline can be based. Students are charged with violating the Student Conduct Code. |
CSU Student Conduct Process | Policy and procedures for all student disciplinary cases systemwide, except as noted, specific procedures apply for allegations involving Discrimination, Harrassment, Sexual Misconduct, Sexual Exploitation, Domestic, Dating Violence, Stalking, and Retaliation. |
Nondiscrimination Policy | Policy prohibiting Discrimination, Harassment, Sexual Misconduct, Sexual Exploitation, Dating Violence, Domestic Violence, Stalking, and Retaliation. |
CSU Executive Order 1108 | Systemwide Policy on Smoke and Tobacco Free Environment on University properties which includes the interior and exterior campus areas of any California State University campus. |
Student Privacy Rights – FERPA | The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) protects student confidentiality by placing certain restrictions on the disclosure of information contained in a student's educational record, including (but not limited to) student conduct records. Student Conduct records are protected by FERPA. Therefore, without written consent from a student, non-directory information (which includes student conduct records) cannot be shared. |
Student Complaint and Grievance Procedures | Policy and procedures regarding individual Student academic or non-academic complaints and/or grievances against the actions and/or decisions of faculty, academic administrators, or staff professionals. Use of Attorneys for Student Disciplinary Proceedings | Policy excluding the use of attorneys from student discipline proceedings except in limited circumstances as described in the Student Conduct Process. |
COVID-19 Vaccinations and Other Safety Measures |

Electric and Motorized Scooter Policy |
Campus policy prohibiting the operation or storage of electric or motorized scooters on University properties at CSUB. |
RunnerCard Policy |
Campus policy outlines the terms and conditions of the RunnerCard and applies to all cardholders of a RunnerCard. |
Service Animal and Assistance Animals Policy |
Campus policy outlines the rules and regulations concerning employees, students, affiliates, and visitors bringing service animals onto university property and assistance animals into University Housing and/or the university workplace as an approved workplace accommodation. |
