CSUB Chavez Huerta Leadership Conference
Vision
The Central Valley and Kern County has played a pivotal role in the farmworker movement
dating back to the 1960s. As the only public university in Kern County, CSUB is proud
to host the 1st Annual CSUB – Chavez Huerta Leadership Conference. The CSUB – Chavez
Huerta Leadership Conference illuminates and celebrates the life and the legacy of
civil rights and farm labor leaders Cesar Chavez and Dolores Huerta. With a focus
on leadership that is inspired by service this conference seeks to equip the next
generation of leaders with the skills and cultural awareness to make an impact in
their community.
“¡Sí, Se Puede!” / (Yes, We Can!)
The 2024 conference theme is “Latinos in Politics: Our Vote, Our Voice, Our Impact”
