Student Clubs
Common Ground
The purpose of this organization is to provide a space for students of various religious and cultural backgrounds to share and learn with other students.Philosophy Club
Here at the Philosophy Club, our mission is to provide opportunities for people get
together and talk about all things philosophy. Our regular club meetings offer attendees
the opportunity to participate in productive conversation and friendly debate about
fascinating, controversial issues supported by reading materials, media productions,
and/or faculty presentations.
Students from all majors are encouraged to attend and we love to gather thoughts from
a variety of different perspectives. We also host movie nights, participate in CSUB
Club Fairs, represent our department at Future Runner Day, and help organize the Annual
CSUB Philosophy and Religious Studies Undergraduate Conference.
This year, we will host the first annual Philosophy Club Lifeboat Challenge (Wednesday,
April 17th, 4 - 5pm). Regular club meetings are held every other Wednesday from 4
- 5pm. All are welcome and club membership is encouraged not required.
