Improved Advising & Mentoring
In collaboration with CSUB Counseling Center and the Food and Housing Security Committee, the Puedes! grant is offering a number of professional development trainings for faculty and staff to they can better support, advise, and mentor our students.

Learning-Aligned Employment Program
The Learning-Aligned Employment Program (LAEP) offers underrepresented students the opportunity to gain education-aligned, career-related employment. Students who meet the eligibility requirements will get paid to conduct research experience in fields related to their major/career. The Puedes! grant has partnered with the LAEP program to provide stipends for CSUB faculty who sponsor LAEP students. College Corps is a state-funded service opportunity for undergraduates. At CSUB, service positions are available in local nonprofits and municipal agencies both on and off campus to build healthier and more equitable communities across California and Kern County. The Puedes! grant provides stipends for faculty who teach CSUB 1029 First Year Seminar (FYS) courses with a College Corps requirement for enrolled students.
