When Do I Need Waivers at My Event?
Vendors such as speakers, entertainers, or individuals providing a service at an activity that is determined to be low risk, may sign a waiver in lieu of providing proof of insurance. CSUB requires the Waiver of Liability, Promise Not to Sue, Assumption of Risk and Agreement to Pay claims (PDF) form to be signed by the individual or group when occupying space or attending an event on campus and must be kept on file with a PO, special services form or any other contract necessary to the event. CSUB field trip participants traveling off-campus must also sign liability waivers to partake in the activity.
