Advanced-Standing Program of Study
Our advanced-standing program of study is designed for students who completed their
Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) degree from an accredited institution. Advanced-standing
students waive foundation course requirements and complete the MSW Program in one
year. Students attend classes during the day on Tuesdays and Thursdays with practicum
during the day on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
To qualify for advanced-standing, an applicant must meet each of the following requirements
before being admitted to the MSW Program:
- The BSW degree is earned from a program accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE).
- The applicant must have completed the BSW within five years prior to admission to the graduate program.
- The applicant must have an overall (cumulative) GPA of 3.00 or higher for the BSW degree.
- The applicant received a grade of B or better in all social work courses.
