Gnome "Chomps" Chompsky is a composition gnome. He travels all around (CSUB, Bakersfield, and other areas as well) and enjoys taking pictures of where he's been. Throughout this quarter, we'll be having a class contest. Can you figure out where he's been and where he's headed next? More information will be given in class.

All the way from homeland of Trusetal, Thuringia, Chomps found his way to Bakersfield in 2007 with the help of his fellow gnomish friend, Earlbert "Gnobly" von Gnomad. They met back in 1881 while celebrating Cinco de Mayo in Cancun, Mexico. They both share a love of surfing and beach combing.

Chomps enjoys gardening, travelling to new places, meeting new people, karaoke, and eating wild blueberries, but most of all, Chomps's one true love is ultimate gnome fighting (UGF). While UGF is a somewhat dangerous sport, Chomps would never hurt anyone outside the gnomeagon. Sadly, his occupation as a UGF fighter was shortlived, caused by reoccuring cauliflower ear, a deadly occurance to a gnome. He is an inventor and a dreamer at heart, although sordid rumors have been spread about in some quarters that he will occasionally clog dance as well.

 

 

Chomps knows how important writing and grammar are, so he visits the MyWritingLabPlus Headquarters, located in CB 100, quite often. There, he gets help with or works in the program, writes his papers, or just hangs out with the awesome assistants. Sometimes he goes there to get help with submitting his papers to Pearson Tutor Services. The assistants there help him with anything related to the program he needs help in.
