A post-baccalaureate or graduate student holds a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution and wishes to continue their education for personal enrichment or meet professional needs via a certificate, credential, second bachelor's degree, master's degree, or doctoral degree.

Different Career Types for Our Graduate Students

A student who has already earned their bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution and desires to become an applicant for a second bachelor's degree in a major that is different from what they have already earned.
A student who has already earned their bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution and desires to become an applicant for a master's degree.
In California individuals must obtain certification to become a teacher, school counselor, or education administrator. A credential student is a post-baccalaureate or graduate student who has applied or been admitted to a teaching, pupil personnel, or administrative credential program.
A student who has already earned their bachelor's and master's degree from a regionally accredited institution and desires to become an applicant for a doctoral degree.

Admission Eligibility Requirements for Graduate Students

University Admission Requirements 

  1. Completed a four-year college course of study and obtained an accepted baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited institution or shall have completed equivalent academic preparation as determined by appropriate campus authorities. 
  2. Left in good academic standing at the last college or university attended 
  3. Have attained a grade point average of at least 2.5 in an acceptable earned baccalaureate degree; or maintained a grade point average (GPA) of at least  2.5 (4.0 scale/ A = 4.0) in the last 60 semester (90 quarter) units attempted. Each graduate program may require a higher GPA and/or specific prerequisite courses.
  4. Met the professional, personal, scholastic, and other standards for graduate study, including qualifying examinations, as appropriate campus authorities may prescribe.

*The Office of Admissions completes a University Admissions Evaluation requiring at least one official transcript from all institutions attended. No admissions review will be made until all official transcript(s) are received.
