Educational Opportunity Program
The Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) serves as California's original compensatory program and the primary vehicle in the CSU for increasing the access, academic excellence, and retention of California's historically underserved population of low-income, first generation college students, thus working in the spirit and abiding by the legislative intent that originally established the program in 1969 while maintaining the constant innovation the program has come to exemplify.
