CSUB Student Health Services: Antelope Valley
CSUB AV students can now gain access to medical services at:

In order to obtain services at no charge, students must first call (661) 654-2394 to receive a referral from Student Health Services.
All students currently enrolled in CSUB classes are eligible for care at Student Health Services (SHS). In addition, students who are not enrolled during the current semester but were enrolled in the previous semester and intend to enroll in the next semester may be seen during the unenrolled semester for a fee.
Students enrolled in "Extended University" will need to pay the mandatory student health fee before their first appointment each semester. All students are asked to show current CSUB ID (or other photo ID) at the time of each visit.
Summit Urgent Care is open daily from 8 AM - 6 PM.
Referrals from Student Health Services are only available during our business hours. See Bakersfield home page for hours and upcoming closures. You MUST have a referral from Student Health Services to receive FREE services at Summit Urgent Care.

- Doctor's appointments
- Physicals
- Check-up's
- And more!
- Immunizations
- Hep B
- TB skin test
- Laboratory tests
- Those ordered by the physician
- X-rays
- TB chest X-ray
- Those ordered by the physician
- Pharmacy is no longer available. Prescriptions written by Summit Urgent Care will need to be filled at a local pharmacy and will be paid by the student.
- SHS does not provide referrals for EMERGENCY SERVICES. If you have an emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.
- There are no after-hours or on-call services available at SHS.
- Treatment of major illnesses, injuries, or accidents that require either hospitalization or long-term follow-up is also not available at SHS.
Yes! Your medical records will remain at Summit Urgent Care and will not be released without your consent.
As SHS makes a referral to Summit Urgent Care, we will not have access to your records. If you decide to release your medical records to us, the information we receive will not be released to anyone (including faculty, staff or parents) without the written consent of the student except as provided by law or in the case of life-threatening emergency.
