Health Education and Wellness Promotion
The Health Education department at CSUB Student Health Services consists of a Health Education Coordinator and Health Education Assistant. We focus on the promotion of good health, prevention of diseases and awareness of conditions that college students typically experience, including: stress, nutrition, exercise, drug abuse prevention, sexuality and birth control education. We encourage students and staff to identify the benefits of healthy lifestyle choices and risk reduction strategies in order to achieve academic, professional and personal success. Our Health Education department strives to help our campus community accept responsibility for their health and well-being.

- To maintain, create and implement evidence-based programs and behavior change services that promote positive change in students' health and wellness, knowledge, skills and behaviors.
- To increase collaborative educational opportunities with campus partners, both academic and non-academic, that empower students to reach their full potential as healthy adults and leaders.
- To expand our reach by enhancing visibility and promotion of health and wellness resources, spaces and messaging, increasing the efficacy and utilization of wellness support services as a normal part of a student's college experience.
- To continually evaluate our assessment strategy, ensuring data gathered is useful, comprehensive and coordinated.
