CSUB Music is proud to present the 4th Annual CSUB High School Honor Orchestra! The three-day event will provide outstanding local high school string players with an inspiring learning experience through rehearsals, sectionals, and a culminating performance.
Any high school string student:
- in good standing with their high school music program
- recommended by their orchestra director
Auditions (more on that in a bit) are only for chair placement - if your director recommends you, you’re in!
Please submit your audition video by Monday, September 28. If you encounter any difficulties with auditions or questions about the honor orchestra, please contact Dr. Sakomoto via email and he will be happy to help you out!

The fee for the Honor Orchestra is $35. The modest fee goes towards purchasing and copying music, programs, use of facilities, lunch, a commemorative shirt, and more.

Saturday, October 3
9am - 12:10pm 3rd Rehearsal, Doré Theatre
12:10pm - 12:55pm Lunch (Provided by CSUB Music)
1pm - 2:30m Final rehearsal
3:00pm-4:00pm Concert with BC/CSUB Orchestra
