Orchestras

The BC+CSUB Orchestra began its partnership in 2021 and has grown in both size and quality in a short span of time. The orchestra is comprised of CSUB and BC students and musicians in the community. Under the direction of Dr. Leo Sakomoto, the BC+CSUB Orchestra performs a wide range of literature from the orchestral repertory.

Membership is open to all CSUB and BC students regardless of major, and members of the community. Chair placement auditions are held at the beginning of each semester.

A limited number of university-owned instruments are available to loan to students free of charge. To request an instrument, please contact James Dethlefson.
