California Title IV-E Education Program (CalWISE)
At this time, our program is unable to offer the California Title IV-E Education Program (CalWISE) funding opportunity to incoming students for the 2026–2027 academic year. This does not impact admission to the MSW program.
The California Title IV-E Education Program is designed to support Master of Social Work (MSW) students through a collaboration between the university's School of Social Work, public human service agencies, and related professional organizations. This partnership ensures that education is closely aligned with practical field experience, fostering the delivery of culturally competent and effective services to communities across California. Funded by Title IV-E, the program offers financial assistance to MSW students in return for their commitment to work in a public child welfare agency within the state. Each year of financial support requires one year of service, with a maximum requirement of two years. This funding opportunity is limited to students who are authorized to work in the United States. If you have any questions or need more information, please contact us.
