Semester and Academic Year-Long Programs
All students who are studying abroad for a semester or academic year will enroll in course(s) approved by CSU Bakersfield and will maintain full-time status while abroad of at least 12 credits or equivalent per semester under the foreign credit system of your host university.
Credits earned abroad will be calculated by WES to the equivalent of credits earned at CSUB.
For a course to count towards your degree, you must earn a letter grade (A, B, or C). Any grade not issued under this scale will not be considered for transfer credit.
All students are required to remain eligible for FAFSA Financial Aid if applicable and make satisfactory academic progress, as well as notify the Center for Global Outreach of any changes in the class schedule while abroad.
Summer / Winter Programs
Students studying abroad for the Summer or Winter terms are not required to enroll in units.
