The Teacher Education credential preparation programs prepare highly qualified professionals to create diverse, inclusive, and equitable K-12 public school classrooms. By applying an integrated approach to theory and practice our teacher candidates build skills and rapport with our education community partners.
Teacher credential preparation programs are accredited by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) and we are member in good standing of Association for Advancing Quality in Educator Preparation (AAQEP), a national accrediting organization recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.
Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) in compliance with the Federal Family Education Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA), prohibits the University from providing certain information from your student records, such as information on registration, grades, billing, tuition and fees assessments, financial aid (including scholarships, grants, work-study, or loan amounts) and other student record information to a third party. This restriction applies, but is not limited, to your parents, your spouse, or a sponsor.
You may, at your discretion, grant the University permission to release information about your student records to a third party by clicking the 'Authorize to Release' link in the Personal Information section of your myCSUB account. The specified information will be made available only if requested by the authorized third party. The University does not automatically send information to a third party.
Please note that you will set the expiration date for the authorization, and you may revoke your authorization online at any time by updating the authorization in your myCSUB account. NOTE: For the third party designee you name on this form, this release overrides all FERPA directory suppression information that you have set up in your student record. It is University policy not to release certain aspects of student records (e.g., registration, grades, GPA) over the phone or via email.
Client Services encompasses the Helpdesk, Library computer labs, RunnerCard office, Media lab, and OpScan test scanning.

Student Technology Equity Program (STEP)
For students who do not have access to technology for their CSUB education, they can to be considered for a free loaner laptop, tablet, or Wi-Fi hotspot through CSUB STEP.

The purpose of the Safe Zone program is to establish a University-wide network of easily visible allies who can provide support, information, and assistance to lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender students at CSUB.
Allies are trustworthy, knowledgeable, and sensitive people who can provide a safe and nondiscriminatory environment on campus for members of the LGBT community. Allies are faculty, staff, and administrators who have attended the Safe Zone Ally Orientation and agreed to be visible allies of the LGBT community on campus.
The Walter W. Stiern Library has something for everyone. Our comprehensive collection of digital and print resources supports every major at CSUB. Our building offers collaborative spaces, group study rooms, and silent spaces on the upper levels. We also provide a 24/7 chat service that allows students to ask for research help any day of the week at any time. If there's something we don't have in our collection, we are happy to get it for you through our resource sharing service. Be sure to have a look at our research guides and feel free to make an appointment with your subject librarian whenever you need extra help.

The Multicultural Alliance and Gender Equity Center (MAGEC) is a division of Student Affairs that aims to uplift, validate and support students of all cultural backgrounds, religious beliefs, sexual orientations, and gender identities.

The Ombudsperson is available to meet with any CSUB Student who has a concern or complaint about the University. The Ombudsperson is an objective mediator who helps resolve conflicts that arise from disagreement and acts as the liaison between students and the University.
The Ombudsperson helps solve problems informally, confidentially and impartially.
