Because we will be back from the future on Oct. 18, 2024, at CSUB Alumni Park for Party in the Park!
It’s an opportunity for alumni and pals to reconnect at what will be the 27th anniversary of this community-favorite shindig. So, break out those hoverboards and leg warmers and get ready to dance.
Most importantly, we’ll raise some serious cash for scholarships that help `Runners rock their grad school dreams and rad mentoring initiatives that help students crush it in a competitive job market. The proceeds will enhance our alumni scholarships and mentoring programs, which continue to grow in reach. The Alumni Association recently awarded $8,000 in scholarships to alumni pursuing their graduate degrees on campus for the 2024-2025 academic year.
Our `RunnerBridge platform connects CSUB students, alumni, faculty and staff wherever in the world they are for informal mentoring and networking. And our `Runner Alumni Mentor Program creates even stronger, more long-term bonds between students seeking professional development help and alumni looking for meaningful ways to give back to their alma mater.

We Were Back in the Saddle on Oct. 20, 2023
Party in the Park is our fall food and drink event held at Alumni Park to raise money for alumni programs and reconnect alumni with each other and their alma mater.
There will be much to celebrate, and important work to support.
The 26th year of Party in the Park brought back tastings of local food, beer and wine
under the stars at Alumni Park and pay homage to Bakersfield's country roots. It provided
the chance to celebrate `Runner roots, dust off cowboy boots and lasso in the good
times. It was a hootin' and hollerin' fun!

The CSUB Alumni Association scared up some fun with 2022's Party in the Park and featured local fare, wine and craft beer, a silent auction, a costume contest and music from DJ Danny P.

Party at Your Place 2020
The wine, the music and the fun of Party in the Park, the CSUB Alumni Association's annual fall fundraiser, was too special a tradition to give up because of the pandemic.
So the Party still went on. It just moved from our place CSUB's Alumni Park to your place.
Party at Your Place was a virtual celebration that, like every year for 23 years, offered just about everything one needs for a great night out (at home) while raising money for alumni scholarships, mentoring and other programs.
Guests picked up a party box with wine selections from local winemaker San Rucci, a special event wine glass, and several surprise gifts fitting the theme, Disco Nights. The theme paid homage to the 1970s, the decade of CSUB's founding 50 years ago this year.
The association encouraged guests to open up their wine, fill their glass, get out their 50th anniversary-branded party box favors and join fellow alumni and friends for an evening of online entertainment and celebration.
The evening featured music from Disco Sundae Entertainment, a disco dance lesson from CSUB rec center staff, special remarks, and a wine tasting to learn more about San Rucci's offerings.
