ATI Working Group Committee

Overview of the Committee

Intent

The intent of the Accessible Technology Initiative Working Group is to support the campus in adhering to the CSU, State, and Federal requirements for Accessibility. Committee members will be actively engaged in contributing knowledgeable perspectives regarding ATI challenges, opportunities, and needs; and engaged in active working, communications, and collaboration. The primary focus is to address items assigned by the Steering Group and support the Technology Accessibility Review committee, and the ATI subcommittees on Procurement, Web, and Instructional Materials for the University.

Purpose

The purpose of the Accessible Technology Initiative (ATI) Working Group is to support all key functional committees in creating and sustaining a best-in-class environment that: addresses the university-wide accessibility needs and forward-thinking opportunities; seeks funding and resources; and manages customer service expectations and communications consistent with allocated resources and in support of the mission, vision, values and strategic plan of California State University, Bakersfield by championing ATI. Further, this committee authors the annual ATI report that goes to the President and the Chancellors Office.

Objectives

The objectives of the Accessible Technology Initiative (ATI) Working Group are to make decisions, recommendations, or policies that:

  1. Address issues being reported on accessibility
  2. Address needs/opportunities
  3. Address risk/compliance
  4. Determine training
  5. Establish/reaffirm needs/opportunities and policies and procedures as appropriate
  6. Define needs/opportunities priorities
  7. Determine needs/opportunities resource costs required to fulfill the recommendation(s)

Membership

The membership of Accessible Technology Initiative (ATI) Working Group shall consist of the following, or their respective designee:

  1. Chief Information Officer & ATI Officer (Chair) – Chris Diniz
  2. Associate Vice President and Dean of Students – Emily Poole Callahan
  3. Associate Vice President for Civil Rights & Compliance – Allan Williams
  4. Academic Senate Chair – Melissa Danforth
  5. Chief Procurement Officer – Marina Manzano
  6. Director for Center for Accessibility and Essential Needs – Jason Watkins
  7. Solutions Consulting/Technology Accessibility Review – Doug Cornell
  8. Instructional Materials Chair – Dani Solano
  9. Instructional Materials Vice-Chair – Alex Slabey
  10. Web Compliance Chair – Pierre Igoa
  11. Web Compliance Vice-Chair – Shan He
  12. Procurement Compliance Chair – Marina Manzano
  13. Procurement Compliance Vice-Chair – Chris Diniz
  14. ASI Representative – President or designee, Anthonio Reyes
  15. ASI SSD Representative – Christine Ziemann
  16. Student Representative – Sydney Zachary
  17. Student Representative – Micah Stover
  18. Faculty Representative – Rebecca Penrose
  19. Library Representative – Ying Zhong
  20. Staff Representative – Teanna Keith
  21. AV Representation – Mike Brown
  22. EEGO Representation – Stacey Childress

The Accessible Technology Initiative (ATI) Working Group shall be made up of the Compliance Officer, ATI Officer, chair and vice chair of each subcommittee and campus staff, students, and faculty. Faculty representatives service term shall be 2 Academic years.

Meeting Schedules

The Accessible Technology Initiative (ATI) Working Group shall meet two times annually or as needed to support the ATI activities of CSUB.
