CSUB provides academic offerings in sustainability and environmental opportunities, as well as seeks to integrate sustainability learning outcomes into a growing number of non-sustainability focused courses.
Faculty Sustainability Committee The Faculty Sustainability Committee, which includes faculty representation across
CSUB's four academic schools, works to advance environmental sustainability within
research, curriculum, and academic experiential programs such as internships. Research in Sustainable Topics CSUB faculty and students perform research within a wide array of sustainability topic
areas. Theme S: Sustainability and Social Responsibility The general education program utilizes a thematic model: Themes Q, R, and S. Theme
S, for Sustainability and Justice is intended for students to understand how social
economic and environmental factors contribute to local and global conditions and future
