Student Health Services Staff
Christopher Gambrioli, MD, is board-certified in family medicine and has been an SHS staff physician since 2005.
Dr. Gambrioli graduated from St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada,
West Indies in 2002 and completed his family medicine residency training at Kern Medical
Center in 2005.
My Kha, MD, is a staff physician at Student Health Services. She is board certified in family
medicine and one of our reproductive health providers. Dr. Kha received her Bachelor
of Science degree from UC Berkeley in 1997 and graduated from St. George’s Medical
School in 2002. She finished her family medicine residency at KMC in 2005 and has
been with the SHS ever since.
Candice Banducci, DNP, FNP-C, joined Student Health Services in 2023 as a Nurse Practitioner. In addition
to being a CSUB graduate (she completed all of her undergraduate and graduate nursing
training here), she received her Doctorate of Nursing Practice in 2024. She brings
experience in women’s health, cardiology, hospice and palliative care, and pediatrics
to our team.
Alan D. Witherell, PharmD, RpH, has been the Pharmacist for CSUB Student Health Services since 2011.
Dr. Witherell received his Doctorate of Pharmacy in 2003 from Massachusetts College
of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. He uses his 15+ years of retail pharmacy experience
to help enhance student understanding of prescribed medications.
Dawna Solis, CLS, MLS (ASCP) received her Bachelor of Science in Biology in 2012 from CSUB and
her CLS Training Certificate in 2014 from SFSU. Most recently, Dawna received her
Master of Arts in Health Care Administration in 2024. Prior to joining Student Health
Services in 2023 as the Clinical Laboratory Scientist II, she worked as a CSL in local
hospital labs for 9 years in a variety of disciplines and lead roles.
Lauren Hedlund, MS, is Student Health Services’ Health Education Coordinator. She received her Master
of Science in Educational Counseling in 2013 and her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology
in 2011 - both from California State University, Bakersfield. She is certified in
Nutritional Counseling through American Fitness Professionals & Associates and certified
in Contraception Counseling through Essential Access Health.

Stephanie Jones has worked as a Medical Assistant for Student Health Services since 2016. She graduated
from San Joaquin Valley College with her Associate of Science Degree in Clinical and
Administrative Medical Assistant. Her additional 5 years of outside medical assistant
experience contributes to the quality care offered to CSUB students.
Georgie Ash is Student Health Services’ Administrative Analyst/Specialist. She graduated from
California State University, Bakersfield in 2015 with her Bachelor of Science in Business
Administration - Management. Joining our team in 2022, her 10+ years of experience
in business operations and accounting are a great asset to the clinic.
Shelly South is an Administrative Support Assistant II. She graduated from San Diego State University
with a Bachelor of Science in Health Science and a minor in Psychology. Shelly has
worked at CSUB since 1993 and at the SHS since 2010.
Athletic Trainers

Ramon Prasad, MS, ATC, has worked as an athletic trainer since 2017 and came to CSUB as an Athletic
Trainer II in 2024. He received his Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from CSU
Stanislaus and his Master of Science in Athletic Training from University of the Pacific.
Reshawna Valentine, MS, ATC, came to CSUB in 2024 as an Athletic Trainer II with over a decade of previous
athletic training experience. She received her Bachelor of Science in Exercise and
Wellness from Arizona State University and her Master of Science in Athletic Training
from Northern Arizona University.
