All official institutional and Athletics logos, marks or verbiage are trademarks owned by the university. The images, logos, marks, designs and other branded items may not be used without a written contract from or express consent of an authorized university representative.
The logo with a ™ should be used in external marketing/promotions, including: promotional products, merchandise or in publications that are sent to the university's external audiences. You do not need a ™ on the university logo if it is for websites, digital communications or in communications sent to internal audiences (e.g. students, faculty and staff).
Collegiate Licensing Company (CLC)
CSUB has entered into a partnership with Collegiate Licensing Company (CLC) to help:
- Protect the university's trademarks,
- Promote the university's brand through merchandise sales and product placement, and
- Allow the university, and its students, to profit from the sales of merchandise.
For more information about CLC, please visit their website at www.clc.com.
Become a Licensed Vendor
Licensed vendors are approved to produce official CSUB merchandise. Anyone who wishes to become a licensed vendor and produce merchandise bearing CSUB's trademarks must be approved by the university through its licensing agency, CLC. This application informs CSUB of how its marks will be used, what type of product the applicant makes and how the institution is going to be represented. If you wish to become a licensed vendor, visit: https://clc.com/home/get-licensed/.
Promotional Products
Faculty, staff or students who wish to purchase promotional products or giveaways with any university mark should go through the university's Print Shop. The Print Shop will work with the university brand specialist to ensure that products are obtained through a licensed vendor and artwork is approved.
